Ty West is one of the Sthri, from a planet about 80ly away.

Bloody tourists overstaying their visas... :P

I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

Ah, poor "Dr" West. He is many things, but a pilot isn't one of them.

Though he does have an interesting footnote in history of being the last living person eligible to become President of the United States by being a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of the Constitution of the United States. To whit:

The Constitution of the United States of America: Article II Section 1 wrote:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

Of course there are a handful of individuals who make a living on the shock TV and radio circuit who claim to be immortal, Ty has the documentation to back up his claim. ;)

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Alright...so, what are the Sthri? Since most offplanet stuff seems to be Tennyo and Starwolf's domain, should I assume they're somehow connected to the Starstalker? And are there any other canonical aliens known?

...I seriously need to read the Tennyo stuff on my days off this week...

Tywyswyr and the Sthri are E.E. Nalley's, and they resemble what people think dragons should look like.

Reading A Wellspring of Sorrows , The Kodiak Conspiracy, Chapter 2 might help.

You may find reading his Wiki Article helpful as well.

Of course odds are good that he invented the visa :P
(and not Pavlov, who according to the Soviets, invented everything)

Where does it actually name his species?

Ty literally says "My race is called the Sthri" in "A Wellspring of Sorrows"
