The entire microscene was inspired by just one word from Fox Tails pt 1.

Thanks muse!

Dr Cody telling tales about Fey? Just where is The St Tenyo and Jade, one has to ask, for where one is the other most likely is close by... Would the universe survive the outing of such tales?

Pancakes.

It was the last line at the bottom of the screen by itself as I was reading the story, and I interpreted it as a curse word in response to what the children were up to, before it revealed itself to be the first part of a flashback.

Well, stranger things have happened involving pancakes in this thread. Though it does make me wonder why you didn't name her Anne instead...

(Epileptic trees: She may have some sort of Ban on uttering certain words, or is affected by a curse which changes the words themselves when she says them. Or perhaps she agrees with what The Warlock said in "What Good is a Glass Dagger?" when he warned Aran not to blaspheme in the presence of wizards, though we've not seen any evidence of that rule in WA so far.)

Out, damnéd Spot! Bad Doggy!

"I had a few problems with the customs about my unusual way of travel," she said while making air quotes. The MCO got involved. "

This part had me thinking that she had counter-rotating pigtails enabling flight, or maybe something like the Flying Nun.

"Anyway, they tested me for mutant powers and discovered I am actually a precog."

If anything, that's the controversial part. Except for folks like Joni Wilson/Jo Donner, who experiences time out of order, most precogs have no need of Whateley Academy.

This is more a diplomatic move than a practical one. Although some might say she's not dealing that well with her abilities.
