  • This...IS...Jeopardy! And now the star of Forum Jeopardy, E. E. Nalley!

Thank you Johnny, welcome everyone to our first round of Forum Jeopardy. On the board here will be six categories with various answers. The first respondent picks the category and dollar amount and then I will reveal the clue. The first correct response wins and that person picks the next category and amount. This board has one daily double hidden in it where only the selector can attempt to answer the question, wagering a portion of their winnings, or up to the dollar amount of the clue if the chooser has no winnings. Remember all answers must be in the form of a question.

    Now, the categories are:

    TV Leading Men
    Songs You Know By Heart
    Mountains of the World
"Delicious" Music, note that delicious is in quotes,
    For The Birds and finally
    Men In Tights

Dollar values are in even amounts from 200 to 1000.

    So, let's play Forum Jeopardy!

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Correct! Which brings us to final Jeopardy! Any player with a positive score can for the next 24 hours post a wager for the end Clue. I will then post the final answer and another 24 hours of time will elapse before the final correct question is revealed. Those with a wager should post again with their answer behind the spoiler tag and No peaking, contestants! The winner will be our Forum Jeopardy Champion!

Be sure to post your amount risked from your total winnings ($500 of $1200). Single numbers will be assumed to be wagering all the funds. So consider your wagers carefully for the following topic:

    Presidents Of The United States.

Players, you have twenty four hours to post your bets before the final clue is revealed!

  • It's all good, I was busy yesterday anyway, so, EM, Annachie and Arcanist, here is the final Jeopardy answer:

While many might think the controversy between popular vote and Electoral College vote is the height of presidential drama, it's important to remember this man was unique in history as being the only President of the United States that no one voted for.

  • On October 10th, 1973, Spiro Agnew resigned as Vice President, then President Richard Nixon appointed Congressman Gerald Ford to be his replacement. Later, of course, President Nixon would resign himself making Gerald Ford the only President in US History to enter the office without a single Electoral College or popular vote ballot being cast for him to ascend to that office. All three of you have the correct answer, but since you didn't post your totals before wagering it all, I'm not sure who won!

Perhaps that will happen later today and thanks to everyone who played I hope this was a fun and interesting couple of weeks!

  • Let's see. I missed one for 600, and won a 200, 400, and 800.

So I had 800, which a doubled to a grand total of 1600. Which is less than EM had after wagering half their pot (which they won back). So I don't think I won this.

    Good game all!

Ditto from me. I'll take my winnings in S & H green stamps. There's this cool hat I've been working towards since I got my last book back in the 80's.
