    • This is the thread to discuss the Ma'at story series.

    The series began in 2006. It has been edited and vetted on both the Crystal Hall and BCTS. It is not a typical teen mutant/super story, but rather an adult caught up in an unexpected situation.

    Note that Ma'at was not intended as a Whateley story, but was reworked to bring Dani back to the present. The series as currently constituted is NOT Canon compatible. Dani time travels which is barred.

    Parts 1-3 are unmodified from the original and will be posted quickly. Part 4 was slightly modified. Part 5 is being reworked and Part 6 will also be updated. I'm not satisfied with them as yet.

    The story 'Seth' is a critical part of the series and will be posted at some point.

    My intent is to release the Ma'at series as they were originally created, unless someone has serious heartburn. And in my considered opinion, unless someone spots an issue, Chapters 1 & 2 are good to go.

    • It's great to see that Ma'at is now in the "featured fan fiction" section, and it was fun re-reading the first two parts again. Maybe I'd best get back to editing part 6?

    • Took me a while to get around to reading it, but I enjoyed this one. I seem to enjoy time traveler fiction in many forms.

    I do however find it a bit of a stretch that Dani would know exactly how much margin the traders had in spite of the fluctuating values of goods over any period of time.

    My rationale is that the relative value of goods won't fluctuate hugely. There wasn't much climate fluctuation, this story is set in the "Minoan Warm Period", and is well before the Santorini eruption.
