  • Are the Junior high kids made to do combat finals as well, or does that only start Freshmen year?

I'm guessing it's on a case by case situation. CeeCee would probably be able to handle a combat final, Diz (or her opponent) would be at a serious disadvantage. Ember might not really understand what is going on.

  • I was thinking more the Three Witches, but yeah I see what you mean by case by case. Thornies generally get a pass if I understand things right, though I could see Diz having a final where the objective is not to break something.

  • Well, to answer the original questions... From the wiki - The high (or low, depending on your viewpoint) point of the Fall and Spring terms is the Combat Finals. These are done in two sections: Freshmen and Sophomores are the first week, followed by Juniors and Seniors the second week. Academic finals alternate.

So, no... no Junior High kids in the combat finals.

Now... there MAY be some junior high kids that will be able to participate in BMA but the overwhelming majority of them will either be in survival or, more likely, a regular gym class. We've not really gotten into it but I can assume that the regular gym classes will have some elements of survival training and, unless opted out of, a rotation of martial arts basics as well...

  • They probably don't get a Combat Final as such, just a particularly strenuous evaluation in Phys.Ed (whatever branch they are taking -- regular PE, Escape or BMA). Depending on the particulars, that may involve sparring.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

Well we know that Toni and Silver took a Tennis class, there was also several other PE classes talked about during discussions on what classes people took. I don't remember what Charge took fall semester, but it wasn't BMA or Survival, and apparently didn't cover any survival training. Those classes do allow the use of powers though.

Charge was in swimming in Fall 06.
