The "Elemental symbolism" of the five-fold court was largely irrelevant to whom the court's masters were. And the Center Court is not what people might think.

Chthonic dragons on the other hand, are usually pretty clearly blanket bad. They are connected with the deep places, the horrid dark, and polluted springs. While Celestial dragons can be destructive, their havoc is a momentary thing, and they leave life and renewal in their wake; Chthonic dragons lay waste to regions, leaving blights and desolations. Chthonic dragons include the Basilisk, the Lernean Hydra, the Japanese Oroichi, and the dragon that Baron George Franckenstein slew. They don't breathe fire, but their breath is noxious, and they often have stingers in their tails.
World-wide, one of the classic images is of the Celestial vs the Chthonic, usually in the form of an Eagle or other major bird of prey locked in combat with some manner of serpent. Among MANY variations of this is the symbol of an eagle and a snake on a cactus that is on Mexico's flag; it was a MAJOR cultural image for the Aztecs. However, the image of two dragons locked in combat entwined with each other. I think that it could be argued that this is a non-avian variant of the Celestial vs Chthonic conflict.

It's obviously two caring, sensitive dragons giving each other a well-needed cuddle in the face of all those nasty people who go on about how evil and nasty poor, misunderstood dragons are.
I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

Thor vs. Jörmungandr? The thunder god vs the world serpent?

Reminds me of a classic exchange between Madeline Kahn and Graham Chapman:
(Rated PG, but released before the 1984 rating changes)
Betty: Well, it's been awhile since we had a little cuddle.
Yellowbeard: I raped ya, if that's what you mean.
Betty: Okay. It was half-cuddle, half-rape.
Yellowbeard: I'm sure I killed the last one I raped, it can't have been you.
Betty: Well, the afterplay was a bit on the rough side, but not fatal dear.
