  • I was rereading Writing on the wall when the thought occured to me: what happens when Bianca graduates?

I mean it is way early to speculate but think about the people she is drawing to her. (I'm thinking specifically of the ones that might go on to join the family with her). Morgana and Janine.

Let me rephrase in a way that the criminal world will understand.

A half demon body guard dedicated to protecting her.

A gadgeteer specializing in rube goldberg machines sworn to do anything she says.

No lets expand on those a little. You'll not I said half demon instead of dragon, I said that because there is no two ways about it Morgana will be outed on her relationship with Thulia. There is probably a better way of putting that. So criminals are going to think she summoned a demon a bound it to defend her and her family. A reasonable response to the threats during her early reign.

What else is a reasonable response? Having a tech person added to your security personal. Maybe one who could work with magic or make completely mechanical precautions that won't interfere with magic (I am not certain how strong the "magic and science don't mix" trope is in the Whateley verse but I'm pretty sure the average criminal won't either). Or as I like to put it, a person tailor made for producing booby traps that are hard to get around.

This is must me personally but I think when Bianca comes back on the scene everyone in Chicago will think of it as a show of force. "Yes my family was wiped out four years ago but I spent those four years gathering as much power as I could. I'm in charge now."

My dreams take me to far off lands and times of distant past and future. They tell what has been done, what will happen and who I am. They show me things beyond the machinations of any man. Tell me, what are dreams to you?

  • Having 1 or 2 of her friends come with her to Chicago wont be too big of a deal. Won't really influence much. Now if the entire team shows up...And makes Chicago home. Now were talking some serious sit up and take notice. But that attention can be bad as well. Espec with Champion and several others in the area.

  • I assumed the first school break that Morgana visits Chicago (for both travel cost and laying low from European cults), it would be abundantly clear that she's Bianca's friend and not anything else. It's Morgana, her personality pretty much would spoil the idea that she served the White Lady in any capacity beyond mutant companion. The students telling Scorn about her at Whateley would be able to identify that Morgana is her roommate.

They should be more worried about harassing Morgana, because Thulia would show up.

Ultimately, I doubt Morgana would join the family officially. She'd want to go home after the cults are dealt with, or at least no longer aware she exists. Plus, Rugby isn't popular in the US. Where exactly would she watch the games?
