SPOILERS ABOUND!
I'm here with a few more Sidhe related questions to things that I haven't found answered about Nikki nor about any of the other Sidhe Characters. Elrod's character, Elle, introduced Aegloswen as the Queen of the realm of Ice and Snow. So this has me wondering a few things.
Hank 3 - 4 deal heavily with Nikki renouncing her claim to the full revival of her species. There was also heavy, heavy mention that her and her "sister queens" were pretty nasty. So I'm going to guess that the nine "Queens" are the Paramount Queens mentioned by Kodiak when he talks about his work with Unga Bunga before the Sundering. This then makes me wonder how the Queens are aligned since Nikki infers after planting the World Tree seed that it was the "Daughter of the Burning Oak".
Is her realm the far west or is what-not?
I'm just curious as I'm fleshing out a few groups of Fae for my fanfic.

Since the Sundering, the "West" physically isn't where it used to be.
That does not mean that the Sidhe realms were literally those lying westward from wherever the Center Court was located. IF it was located. I get the impression from the lore that's been developed and published that "West" in terms of pre-Sundering Atlantean geopolitics is as much a metaphor as "Wood" is in their five-element system.

Metaphor would be a good way to describe it, yes.

Okay that makes some sense. Aung was listed as a "Paramount Queen" which seems to be a big deal as shes one of the few who can birth the next High King or Queen in the story. Then there's Aegloswen who is a sister Queen and she rules a "Realm of Ice and Snow" which is somehow connected with Scandinavia.
So I guess the next step is, how are the various leaders of the Western Court afforded their rule. Is it based on a title held to one of these nine lineages, or is based on something else.

Power, Power and that all important last thing, Power.
You're a "Lord" because you have enough power to force others to call you so.
You're a "Queen" because enough people back you calling yourself that the other Kings and Queens are unable to force you to stop.
You're the "Paramount Queen" because none of the other rulers are able to stop you calling yourself that.

To be honest, at the top ranks inheriting power is one of the main ways of procuring it. Inheriting the throne of the previous ruler is the best way to quickly gain power. Just remember, inheritance is more a matter of power politics then simple birthright.
Also, power calls to power, so,the powerful are most likely to marry each other, producing powerful offspring. Those offspring would live long lives before their parents move on and let them inherit, centuries, possibly even eons. Just imagine how nasty and vicious inheritance battles could get with that long to scheme, plan, cross, double-cross, blackmail and otherwise coerce allegiance.

That's a pretty good description of the gentry, they tend to be the most powerful and hard to understand of the fae.
