Question Real World vs Whateley World

I was rereading (yahoo! being able to read again!) Secret Return and got thinking; if north Korea is doing the nukes in public in the wu what might they be up to in secret?

Also is the WU Russia trying to get back i's lost territory as the real on is?

In the Whateley universe, Kim Un-Pilsbury Doughboy is looking desperately for allies. Because when he looks eastward, he doesn't see a country ruled by the Central Committee; he sees a country rule by the Iron Dragon- who's a meaner supervillain than he is.

As for Rus- er, the Commonwealth of Independent States, it's hard to say; there's a fair amount of whackos in spandex doing inexplicable things that Putin says requires a firm hand to keep in line. But how much of that is the KG- whatever they're called these days playing Dirty Tricks, and how much is.. well, whackos in spandex doing inexplicable things, like supervillains everywhere else?
