I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

we got a taste of it's effects with Mart and Steve, but how bad could it get for a person if they where under a conflicting compulsion? Fidelius charm vs a Sidhe 'gift' that compels you to speak/blurt the truth?

In folklore, the person under a truth geas has considerable leeway both in how they phrase the truth and how completely it's conveyed. Some statements in English don't negate cleanly at all.
"Which door is the best to choose: A or B?"
"I would choose B"
*Hero's evil stepmother opens door B and is devoured by a pack of demons*
Hero: But you said...
Guardian of the Gates: Me and the guys behind door B meet up for poker every other Wednesday. Those angels behind Door A? They hate my guts! And they cheat, but if anyone asks, you didn't hear that from me."

in the case of my Fan fic Drow twins, they can only tell the truth when asked. Its a big curse on them, but they in turn can see if you are lying and nothing can hide from that Fae curses spotlight.
But like the Japanese, they can 'hide' behind a well crafted response to the question or just plan not say a word!
"Is Poe full of Gay kids!" demands a bully kid....
"yep they all seem to be happy to me"
"What are the secrets of Poe?"
"Well can you narrow that down a little bit, I mean I know where one kid hides his porn stash in the bathroom toilet area!"
