Question Dencity warper/incomplete teleportation?

I was reading over the Warping page and an ep of X-Men Evolution popped into my head. It was the one where Forge slowed Crawlers Bamph. I was thinking a density warper is really just a teleporter who never quite crosses all the way over. No I have no ida how going heavy would translate to my thought.

Phase is very much Kitty Pryde or Vision on the light side of things, and Emma Frost's diamond form or Colossus when going heavy. Either allowing the spaces between atoms to be traversed, or strengthening/tightening the bonds between atoms.

But Mischief? She's very likely doing partial teleports when she's using her phasing or invisibility abilities. Or is she teleporting constantly to phase through an object? I forgot which section of the Imp or Melissa's own stories where she gushes in detail about her powers after being examined.

Actually, consider: Mischief was never trained by anyone who understands warping. Yet she found not one, but multiple things she can do. She's not really pushing herself, and yet she can already do several different effects with her warping. One wonders how powerful she can REALLY be if she applies herself to developing her power...
