  • How far down in an orginization does Bad Seed status extend? Do the kids of Deathlists mechanic count, or the spawn of the guys who make Manticor possible?

  • There's a rule: No Minions. That applies to their kids as well.

It seems a little harsh, but consider that the raison d'etre for the Bad Seeds is that being the kid of a supervillain makes you a target. Teachers with grudges give you shit. Students with delusions of being superheroes are all over your case. The kids of civilians treat you like you have lice. Kids who want a fast track into the supervillain lane either suck up to you- or target you for blackmail and extortion. The Faculty makes noises like you're all supposed to be equal; yeah, now tell me the one about the Three Bears. The only people you can really rely on in all this are the ones who're in exactly the same fix. They back you up, you back them up. The 'Rents, theirs and yours are a part of the equation. Yes, it's cold, but then, what about the whole supervillain scene isn't?

The 'Minion' level WhatKid doesn't factor into that. First, they don't bring that much to the table, parental backup-wise. Second, They don't really Need the Seeds; their parents are No Name researchers and service providers. So What? Who's gunning for them? And can they really be trusted to backup another Seed, and not just fade into the background 'cause, hey, it's not THEIR problem?

Remember, while there being few Bad Seeds means that you have a smaller pool of backup, it also means that you have fewer problems that the others are 'sharing' with you, and fewer people you have to stick your neck out for.

  • Thanks. Your posts gives me ideas for a scene.

"Depending on how you look at it I'm Deathlist's (or Manticor's) sibling..."

    "Still no."

  • Test Dummy enough of a villain (if he hasn't blown off his nuts before fathering a kid) to warrant Seed status for his kid or he on the minion list?

I could see the debate among the Seeds over it being a wonderfully wacky/weird micro scene
