  • I asked about this on the Discord recently, but thought it deserved a more detailed discussion: given the number of bio-devisors (whether villainous or just careless), and the existence of supervillains such as Deathmaiden, would there have been more stringent anti-outbreak protocols in place in the Whateley universe by 2020 than there were in the real world, or is that too optimistic? Would they, as Wendy opined, be too reliant on Devisor solutions, with the potential for a massive backfire later down the road?

  • If there were only a place where young tech-minded mutants could be gathered together and taught best practices in specialized class and on-the-job styled training.

  • Given certain things in the Ayla stories, I believe that the WU would be better prepared to respond to a "natural" pandemic than our universe, even without a Devisors or Gadgeteer cure.

Criminal bio/chemical attacks seem to be a fairly regular if not common occurrence. While the Tylenol Murders* changed our world, it is likely that they never happened in the WU because of an earlier event mandating the sort of safety seals used now.

    * For those not old enough to remember, unknown person's bought Tylenol Capsules and replaced the Tylenol with rat poison. Packaging prior to this was an easily opened box and unsealed plastic bottle with only cotton to keep the pills from breaking or rattling.
