Question Boys

This may seem a bit odd, and I don't mean it as a complaint. But I think you need to add some boys to the Freshmen of Fall 2007. I was commenting on What's New Pussycat, and I realized that Danny needed some guys to do guy stuff with and make friends with, but there just aren't that many guys that have been introduced. Some bullies, a couple of underdogs, Monkeywrench,

I do realize that it is early in the semester, but it's like they are all invisible or nonexistent.

Shine will be making an appearance soon. He and Danny know each other, so that will help.

Quite a few of the supporting cast of Absinthe's story line are boys. Fixx and Collin for sure. The Gearheads are mostly boys, Danny could certainly follow Kayda, Lanie, or Alyss over there. Or follow Hank and hang out with the Grunts, even if he doesn't go ROTC, Danny knows guns pretty well.

Poe has always been a bit girl heavy. The changelings are spilling over into Boyztown. Emerson and Twain are a bit underserved in Gen 1, outside of Jericho and Razor.

Monkeywrench could get pulled into the freshmen wondercute team by Melissa.

I think we have also already seen mentioned in chronologically future stories that Danny will hang out with Frank / Esoteric.

Social isolation does seem to be one of the problems with Danny being in the Poe ghetto. Being essentially on the jock track as an avatar, he's got little in common with Voudude (city boy from N'Awlins, magic track) or Hardwyrd (techie, and a target himself).

He'll just have to make friends with guys in his classes, like everyone else his age

Also, for the boys to get anywhere near Danny they have to make it through the wall of licentious lesbians. And Wondercute.

True. Esoteric and Diamondback are two of the characters I'd most expect to see pop up in a "Dream Team" cameo some time in Year 2. Whether that helps or badly hinders Esoteric's options for making connections with people outside of Poe is hard to guess at.

Given the (presumably straight) girls back home at the church service were magnetically attracted to his "fuzzed up" kitty-boy form, it's likely a significant proportion of Dickenson, Whitman and the female half of Hawthorne will do to...

Heh, thinking to the "favours" aspect of the WNPC thread, perhaps he could ask to seek refuge in Thuban's cave when Thuban's out dating Jade...

I have a copy of the "freshmen 2007" spreadsheet (which has not been revealed yet) and there are a LOT of males on it, and room to add more and stay within about 175-200 freshmen class size.
