  • Highly unlikely considering how long it's been waiting.

  • I would hope that the outline for the rest is published or given to someone else to continue the story after all anytime the Goodkind's personal Joseph Megele is involved it's a major plot point.

  • Seeing that Warren is still an active member of the admin team, even if he does not do much solo writing, it might be rather disrespectful to try and yank his character away and give it to someone else to work with.

Yes I'd love to see more of Sam and Hive, they are good stories that I often re-read and enjoy each time I do so. However I doubt that the other members of the cabal (TINCC) would consider taking over authorship unless Warren asked them to do so.

  • I understand that but it it's a shame for a story to be left unfinished

  • Yes I'll agree with you on that. Maybe we'll get lucky someday and Warren will be able to continue the story.

    Seriously.

I'm not sure what the sudden push in mindset that we need to put authors on orphaned characters comes from but in all seriousness, people need to back off on that. There are a LOT of issues involved and telling a group of authors (all of whom want people to respect THEIR intellectual property rights) to CO-OPT (or STEAL) someone else's intellectual property.... is more than a little unsettling.

Add in the insult that we should drop our own projects so that we can work on/finish someone else's projects...

and it all leads to something that is going to make us unhappy about writing stories for anyone.

  • best, if we can show a desire for the stories to be finished by the original authors and they return to them.

Writing someone's character believably is really hard to do, even with the massive amount of work the original characters have to draw on, we need the original people to pick up their projects again, not others to step in.

Stupidity is a capitol offense, a summary not indictable one.

  • Most certainly, the changing of authors should be reserved for when there's certainty that the author wont return to the story, or when other authors need it completed for their stories, notes however would be nice to be passed such that what happened sneaks its way into other stories, we KNOW Sam makes it back to the academy, but that's as useful as knowing that Phase came back to school after Christmas break, without having read Ayla and the Grinch to know that wasn't a certainty (well save for you know main protagonist plot armor).
