I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

I was rereading Insanity Pre-Rec and when I got to Ito and Thrasher's stand in the Brick Dojo I had the question "Does Sensei Ito have any connection to the Yama Dojo?" pop into my head. Thoughts?

I think it's possible that he "knows someone who knows someone", but him being directly linked to the Yama Dojo? I don't think so.
For one thing, he made his career as a martial artist pretty publicly, while a YD ninja would be discreet with his abilities.
For another thing, to leave Japan to train gaijin -- mutant gaijin at that -- would be considered treason by the Dojo and they would be more likely to send an experienced hit team to Whateley to whack him off than a graduating students group to "count coup."

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

This topic about Ito got me thinking - just WHAT names has he been called so far?
I know Ayla called him an evil midget.

Just say'n...
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

As Beauty Does wrote: “Have you ever been ashamed, Sensei?” she asked softly. “Been forced to really see the evil you had done, see that you had desired it, and seen the price you had paid for it?”
After a long moment of gazing at the garden, Tatsuo Ito whispered , “Yes, I have.”

Ito Soke learned, and now teaches a new school of aikido. The Yama Dojo teaches Ninjutsu.
Doubtful that there is any connection. Of course he may know people as Sir Lee suggests.

didn't Kayda call him an evil dwarf?
hmm, maybe not, it might have been Morpheus that had a character use that one.
Stupidity is a capitol offense, a summary not indictable one.
