Question Greasy

Where can I find out more info on Greasy's background an also the substance that covers his body? If there is any.

Just got done reading about Greasy and Medley.

The problem is that I kinda feel for Greasy. Here is a character that I'm sure is only meant to be in the background and yet I feel that I resonate with him.

An underdog in that he's got potential but a weak spine (not that mine is weak only that it reminds me in part of my own childhood I suppose).

He's clunky, as he trips over his own to feet. He tries to do right (combat finals and such) only to have himself mess it up. And to make matters worse he lets himself be pushed around, hence the no spine. I was like that but not as bad. I wanted friends and I was easily influenced. Plus I will admit some of it did excite me in wanting to do risky things.

But its the fact that he's a divisor and is letting himself be used as a lackey that bothers me. Why? And its that unanswered background on why. From what I've seen is that many think that there's something going on between him and Peepers. This could be further from the truth. It's where he comes across as lacking that self-confidence. He has a given ability and even Loophole shows some esteem in that regards as he's a member of the photo club and its his ability as a divisor to make those cameras and whatnot.

Here I could see him 'working' with Venus not at the girls level but at the photography side. But that would put him at odds with Peepers in that he would want those pictures along with a bit more (or less) to be had. He could make breakthroughs that only a divisor could when it came to filmography. High def, 3d and so forth. Ability to photoshop those pictures, take away blemishes and so forth by creating something worthwhile and yet he sticks with Peepers. My only clue being what happened on a train to Whateley.

A part of me thinks Peepers did something to him as he's an ESP's 2, but knowing me, most likely wrong in that assumption.

Maybe its just that I feel like rooting for this underdog and like many other characters just have a curiosity for his background history.

What brought him, what happened to him and so forth. In essence a mystery.

I just hope that if Tensai is the creator of Greasy they come back and flesh out the rest of the history.

Have we not been showing Greasy getting a little further from Peeper? Getting a few boosts to his self-confidence? Showing that he's getting a bit of a spine (e.g. he decides to NOT tell Peeper that he got a kiss from Kaiju)?

Not going to deny it. And for that I am grateful. My thanks. But as they say, I want more and not the snippets that are thrown our way.

Its good to see him starting to stand up. I fully understand that not 'all' people do this, else we in the real world would not have vagrants, homeless and so forth for various reasons.

For me I see him 'learning' to be a man. To start to stand up for himself, but as they say, he lives with a problem child. Someone that when the opposition starts to oppose him, belittles him back down into submission. And even tho Greasy has shown that sliver of backbone how long will it take to get the next one.

How long before Peeper starts to demand that Greasy submit to him by throwing the 'friendship' card like he had done before. That was what the premise of Christmas Chicanery. How, in my opinion, Greasy let his desperation for a friend overtake him by letting himself submit to in my other opinion crass individual.

Given the grades from what Peepers is receiving how is he staying in Whateley academically?
(Edit: This is an assumption so let me know which end I am.)

But I digress. This is what makes Greasy endearable in a sense. He keeps going no matter what is thrown at him. He endures it out somehow, mostly by accident it seems. Its as if he or his family had been cursed and he manages to survive by some sliver of hope.

It's not just getting the girl that I want. Its how he pulls himself up, dusts himself off and carries on. The armor that forged the alliance with him and Peepers seems to be getting a chink in it. And I just want to see more of this underdog pull his self-esteem higher. Not superhero high. But enough to know that he can depend on himself to solve his own problems at times without the false bravo or approval of one that only cares about getting nude pics of girls even if he does have x-ray vision.

Edit: I guess it boils down to 'worth'. He knows he has worth, he has something and now he's starting to see his 'worth' is more than what he thought it was. Much more.

Significant stories in the Greasy arc (after he's presented as Peeper's accomplice/lackey):

I'm just probably getting hung up on my youth and as I said he kinda resonates with me.
