  • Uh... is there any purpose on the forum software putting a web bug image on the notification e-mails for watched threads?

I noticed that the messages come with a link to a 1x1 image from "sendgrid.net".

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Sendgrid provides our email services... necessary, since the Google Virtual Machines do not handle mail services normally. Sendgrid tracks our email usage, subscriptions, and such and gives our mailing service a rating. Spammers get rated poorly, as do people who send mail to people who do not open/read it. As long as we maintain our good rating, they provide us with 25k mailings per month at no charge.

Atm, our rating is almost perfect... no spam reports and only once bounced mail (the result of someone registering an account and trying to validate with an invalid email account).

Fate guard you and grant you a Light to brighten your Way.
