Would it be possible to either get the serif font (whatever it was) back, or get a way to set preferences in one's Profile/Edit so that that font or another like it was available to display in? Sans-serif fonts are pretty and denser, true ... but they are harder to read, especially in long sessions. Also, take a look up at the blue bar with various destinations, and you'll see another issue with them - in grey on the blue this one is VERY hard to make out.

Oh good. I'm not the only person who has trouble with the blue bar.

I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.

Well... the first step will be to find out who changed it and why. And how. Because the only two people who can change fonts should be me and Warren... and I didn't do it (and Warren shouldn't have). It's possible that its something that changed as a result of file updates... which will be frustrating, because it means a large number of things will have reverted in format and site appearance.

Some not cool news... looks like the recent site upgrade also overwrote the CSS changes I've made over the past several months. I went back in and redid a few of them, but the fact that it happened at all means I can't rely on updates to not impact even the template CSS which is frustrating, to say the least. I'll have to look into putting in a separate style sheet with overrides that I can include after any update. More of a pain in the rear to do it that way, but it may be the only way to keep doing updates while keeping the site looking the same.

Fair enough! Sorry you had to find out like this, and as always thank you for all the hard work you and the others put in on this labor of love!

Yes, Thank You Kristin. Sorry for all the extra work, as if you didn't have enough to be going on with anyway. At least things are already looking better today.
Now I just need to get around to getting some new glasses so I don't need to keep upping the zoom level in order to read the text easily... (mutter, mutter... Must be getting old... mutter, mutter...)
John.
