Many people hear voices when no-one is there.
Some are called 'mad' and shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day.
Others are called 'writers' and they do pretty much the same thing.

Seriously how did I miss this webcomic, the main character is like the demented love child of Chaka, Jade, and Tennyo with the potty mouth of...well maybe Eldrich in full on rant mode.
Seriously check it out if you haven't already.

Yeah... I happened upon it a while back and have really been enjoying it... my only problem with it is the passage of time... it's strip #436 and they're only on the third (I think) day of the story.

I first learned about Grrl Power because of links from this very forum, during the gun safety demo. It's a great comic, even with the pacing issues.

Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked.
Note: My story comments can't nor are trying to replace reading the stories, simply my way of enjoying them and letting the authors know I enjoy them.

The bizarre tool the main character was imagining when planning what would go in her utility belt felt like something a devisor would dream up.

Ya... its a decent webcomic and its made some strides in art quality as its come along. Unfortunately, its a bit like reading stories by Diane... you know from all the foreshadowing that there's going to be some really great scenes down the line, but given the current pacing... its going to be fifty years after you die before the story gets there.
That said, it IS one of the few that I make a conscious effort to look at each week... and that number is in the single digits.

I learned of this story when it first came out and as Kristin said we have to dedicate ourselves to these slow moving stories. I understand that the artist has RL to deal with and many of the ones I used to follow have fallen.
She is crazy with ADD and such but its the fun in seeing how she forces herself onto others. She's as they say a trip.

at least as his skills improve it translates into more frequent posting. He's doing two a week now instead of just one, and who knows, maybe one day he'll get up to three like most mainstream comics.
Of course no one is ever going to beat Shlock Mercenary for production. Seven days a week for how many years?

Well, there's also the matter of how much content you get per update. Shlock Mercenary uses strips, while Grrl Power uses pages. Two pages is more art than seven strips, though seven strips probably drives plot faster.

Bill Holbrook. Twenty strips per week (including two double-sized Sunday ones) for... twenty-one years now?
Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

Wow... I was just thinking about mentioning him too... I had the opportunity to commission some pieces from him a while back for a project I was doing. So I can also mention that on top of those strips he also has time for commission work as well.

and one of those strips isn't even commercial, just a personal project.
The man is an animal. And considering Keven and Kell it makes sense.

Schlock Mercenary gets bonus points for never missing a day, including the day that their server exploded.
