Someone was asking on the TV Tropes forum as to what happened to Tensai and it got me curious. I highly enjoyed Christmas Chicanery as it gave some depth to Greasy. Did Tensai just lose interest in writing? Give up on the site? Disappear in a flash of light hoping that the next leap will be the leap home?
On a side note, most of her work was fanfiction on the old forums. Are there any plans to try to migrate those stories?

there are plans to move everything from the old fanfic over, if the authors don't just post them over here with updated versions

Ya... Tensai wandered off. I have no idea if there was a particular reason, I was going through a pretty rough phase at work myself and wasn't around much when it happened... but ya, even if an author is canonized, the stories don't automatically assume canon status. Even the ones close to accurate continuity wise still have to be reworked until they ARE in line with canon. That can take a lot of time... just ask Sleethr or Morpheus. And it can be frustrating to go through that process, because the whole time you're doing it... you're working with stories that were 'already done' ... and that readers have already seen.
Tensai isn't the first (or last) newly canon author who left before completing that process.

It must get tedious to synchronize former fan-fiction to canon especially with so many different authors. There also seems to be a certain amount of canon that is agreed upon by the canon authors but has not been made public. Of course an agreed upon canon is necessary if you want to avoid the horrors of the retcon. There is also a relative lack of recognition for the difficulty of this work, for example: I read the entire Whisper story when it was still fan-fiction but I have only read the first part of the canon version of the same story because I didn't find it that much different (do you know how much it diverges from the original in latter parts by the way). Of course it doesn't help that many of the original authors have left WA.

Whisper was actually very close to canon originally. It helped that Sleethr actively communicated with both Maggie and I while he was writing it the first time, tapping her knowledge of the Sidhe in the WU, and my knowledge of GEO. Even still, there were some areas about the magick testing and how magick works that had to be redone. Some schedule issues were a factor too... because there are points where Fey is with Whisper at a time when, in a canon story, people would have just attended class with her at Whateley.
The 'really' hard part comes in that next phase though. After all, these characters are always developed with some long term plans as well. Who they'll hang out with at the school. Which people they'll get into fights with or befriend. And then they'll read the years of emails and forums posts and plans for future semesters and long range major events... and realize that most of those long range ideas probably aren't going to work. Hell, I included almost a years worth of planning / integration for Fling at WA and meeting with TK (as an opponent not as a friend) when I submitted the idea originally to join the team. And EVERYTHING past Revelations (and even a bit of that) has been different than my original plans. I'd still like to work a few of those plot events into things.... but some of the 'other' things that we've developed over the years for Fling are even better than my original submission.

Unfortunately the world will be a desolated wasteland as pollution from radioactive waste leftover by deviors and unwanted spirits haunt the land.

in 3499 Jade ( still looking only 11 years old ), tired of being in charge of Vice, stages a revolution that destroys the Universal Empire and knocks most species back to the stone age, with a terror of technology.

Well, we DID have to put the second gen timeline clear up at Fall 2016 to ensure that we didn't have to worry about more than the occasional bit of fallout or spin off effect from the original storyline.
But really, I think some of the original characters had 'planned' futures for at least ten years. The whole, high school + college + into the real world and actually doing something more than just being a college grad... level of story planning. With bits and scenes from the future too.
