  • I've been sick the last few days (still am) and I've been doing a lot of reading. Once book I just finished was surprising and well thought out transgendered superhero story call Dreadnaught - Nemisis Book One by April Daneils. Give it a read.

  • It was an fun evening's read. I found that some of the supporting characters played to stereotype a little too heavily, and had no personality other then being anti-trans bigots.

  • I got the book when it came out, and found it a fun read, though as others have mentioned some of the transphobic characters are... really not developed beyond 'is awful to Danny because phobic' (though the dad is just an emotionally abusive shithead in general - see behaviour before his son was revealed to be his daughter).

I think Graywytch was put in pretty much entirely for the purpose of having a TERF in the story, which is kind of annoying. Still gonna be getting the sequel when it comes out... this summer, I believe, though.

  • Thanks for the tip, Warren. Just read the sample on Amazon and it looks like an interesting read. Will most likely come back and pick it up when I've got some extra time on hand.

  • It's not a bad read, but does suffer somewhat from characters who hate TG 'just because'. Still worth a read.

I love watching their innocent little faces smiling happily as they trip gaily down the garden path, before finding the pit with the rusty spikes.
