To elaborate a bit for you... This doesn't line-up with what has already been done in canon and touches characters we don't have the authority to revise without their creators permission.

Now... this is not the first time we've run into things from this fanfiction trying to be shoved in our face and told we need them to be canon. PLEASE STOP. You're not going to change our minds and further attempts are just going to upset people more.

And, yes... I also mean to stop editing the wiki to put characters from this Fanfiction and others into the canon in that way as well...

Please read this thread (if you don't have WhatIF access to the site, please ping Kristin and she'll set you up).

Basically, though it doesn't look it, we (the Canon Authors) have plotlines plotted out for years in the Whateley story universe, and it's a big challenge for us to keep all the different Author's plots and characters in line with each other. We can't just 're-write Canon on a whim', it all must sync into the main plot lines we are pursuing.

Now, that doesn't mean you are not free to write your own Whateley Independant Fiction stories in the shared universe, exploring whatever stories you want to explore, in fact we encourage it, WhatIF stories are an integral part of our community, but please understand, unless it's the rare story that fits with minimal modification into the existing plot lines (which can happen, most of the active canon Authors started out this way, including me), we need to make sure the readers understand which is 'canon' stories, and which are 'WhatIF' stories so that our readers are not confused.
