    • Ah my friends, tis a painful start of a week for me; Tis the annual fair of which my father drafts me to help with every year save the last. My visits shall be few and far between, and I shall miss you lot helping me keep my sanity.

    Until after the 15th.
    I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

    It is the Tuesday before opening day and we are pretty much ready; Fences are up, animal pens in place, show ring has mulch down, exhibit hall entries are judged, placings are inputted, recites are printed for those who placed... just need to write checks and that is done.

    I think Hell has frozen over...:freezing:

    • WOOT!! Another year in the books!

    We had a few things going against us this year; New location, Another fair on at the same time, Said other fair bad mouthing us, The weather,

    But things went very well. Weather held off until the last hour of the last day, and the other days weren't to hot or cold.
    The other fair, a group who had been our land lords prior to this, had jack shit and had people turning around and coming to ours once they saw how little they had.

    Ok so visitor numbers weren't as high as we'd have liked, but the exhibitors and vendors tell us they will be back next year, and we should be getting state funding to fill the money gap.

    So it was a good week last week. :cheer:
