That would actually be kind of cool. Not sure if TINCC will want to use that kind of thing or not, but it doesn't hurt to ask, and I'm sure some of the fanfic authors might be interested as well, if your offer extends to them too.

I can't speak for the others, but when I'm doing research for a story and setting, that's exactly the type of detail I want available to weave into the story and descriptions. Little details make or break a story.

Just let me know what types of photos you would like.
I try my best not to take photos with bystanders in them unless the are the focal point of the photo ( is. boaters runners on the river ).
I use public transport in the area and the photos need to be of public areas are my only requests.
I will make another thread with a few sample pics as examples.
I also ask that you acknowledge me for the photo as well if it used in print or on-line.

A few ideas or locations would be helpful and then I would try to go from there.

Rebeca_Lynn wrote: Never mind, I looked at the first page, and did not realize the links there. Still not much mentioned about Boston from what I was reading so far. I will work on something. Please let me know what everyone thinks would help the most.
Well, considering how often trains that go through Boston are used in the stories, getting some pictures of the train stations (and perhaps some of the area immediately surrounding them) would potentially be useful.

Generally speaking, any photo would be welcome if it illustrated something that appeared in a story, particularly if it has its own wiki page. The problem is that many of the places mentioned in story appear to be fictional. I mean, I would love having a pic for the Roxbury prison... except it doesn't seem to have a real-world counterpart (but then, I never have been to Boston, so I know nearly nothing about it. I could be wrong). Charge 3 (Point d'Inflexion) has a number of scenes in real places around Boston, which could be nice to illustrate. Maybe there are scenes in one of the Boston Brawls or "No Beast So Fierce" which would benefit of illustrations. "Summoning Sweeties" also has a number of scenes around the city.
Even if there are no direct counterparts, you might think of a decent expy, that is, something that is very close to the fictional place mentioned in the story -- an imposing building that could conceivably house one of the various fictional museums mentioned, stuff like that. Just be sure to include the real-world description with the image credits; we can argue later about how best to put the fictional-word descriptions, but you are the only one with the real-world data. Something like "Such-and-such building at Whatever avenue, used to represent the Fakestuff Museum" or "old abandoned warehouses, similar to the ones demolished in Parkour Jam Hooligans".
Boston is important enough to the Whateley stories that it has its own wiki page; it could benefit even from more generic shots from around the town (especially if you feel up to contributing to the text, too -- a native Bostonian's guide to the city, if you will). Neighborhood shots might be nice too -- I don't think that the neighborhood where the Parkour Jam happened was mentioned in "Parkour Jam Hooligans", but you might have some idea where these sorts of events tend to happen, and an establishing shot of the place would be informative.

I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday as the Red Subway line that also runs under South Station, was closed to day.
South Station, which is the Amtrack station for trains coming in from the South and the Bus station which is a much new building next door.
I have to go to one of the Federal Building on Monday, to the Social Security Office for some paper work, which is next to North Station or other wise know as TD Gardens. This would be the Train Station which the Students would be using to catch trains north to the School. The neat thing about this is the station is on the first floor and TD Garden, which is where the Boston Bruins and Celtics Play.
I will try to get some pics of this area while I am in the area on Monday as well. I will also try to get several more general pics of areas and post them, then get more detailed pics of areas after that point as well.
I enjoy taking pictures and find it relaxing, plus it gets me out of my place which I need to do more of. So this is a good thing for me and I hope it will help the writers to give more details and a better story.

Charge, Headrush, and Automa-Tech visited Paul Revere's house, Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, site of the Boston Massacre, Bunker Hill memorial, USS Constitution, Boston Commons,
The Boston Gallery of Antiquities (Or really any little museum).
An LGBT bookstore, bonus points for a rainbow flag.
Something iconic from Harvard.
Random museums.
Don't Drick and Drive.

Each of the other locations Old North Church, Boston Massacre, Boston Commons and Faneuil Hall are all downtown and will be quick to get to and easy for me to get photos of. Faneuil Hall is a Shopping Center, so will try to catch it during the week when it is not busy for better photo's.
Paul Revere's House, USS Constitution and Bunker Hill are a bus ride away for me so not a problem.
I know of a few different Book Stores that will work and a few different sites at Harvard that will work as well.
I will also as others have suggested be trying to add photos of item of other importent items places or things.

It may be slow going as I fell and broke the bone on the outside of my left hand yesterday. The doctor s at the VA are not sure if they want to pin it yet so for now it is in a splint.
The weather is quickly changing up here so I hope that it stays nice and allows me to get the shots needed for now.

I fell inside of my apartment while cleaning of all things and cracked, partially broke two bones on the outer part of my left hand last Monday. I had to wait for some swelling to go down and for my pinkie to stop hurting to much as I jamb it as well. As I use my left hand to support the camera. I am feeling better and picked up a new lens today. So I will be going out in the morning to test it out and to get some pics.
I do have a few photos I am wanting to post up that I think would be good story or at least ideas for for stories. Some have been photo-shopped some some have not. If a photo has been photo-shop-ed I will let everyone know upfront outside of the basic color correction and such.
For the Photos I will start a new topic for them.

That said, I am excited to see what kind of pics you end up posting, whether photoshopped or not. Just the fact that you're going somewhat out of your way to provide them at no charge for the authors who might find them useful makes them definitely worth seeing in my opinion.

I am going to have to see if I can get Sir Lee to do, a basic layout on the Boston page for me and I will figure it out from there. So I know how they want it done, since it is not my page.

I can layout a map with numbers to indicate the photo, that goes with it. Along with giving some other basic information as well.
