  • Many people suffer from Depression (The Beast) and as anyone who has done battle with it can tell you "it is a war you will never win, but you can win the battles" Because it will come back not if but when. I was recently surprise to find out that Dwain "The Rock" Johnson suffers from it as well. So if you do battle with the Beast or know someone who does hang in there and when you can help them how ever you can.

  • It's quite common in actors and writers. A teacher once hypothesized on the idea that part of what makes us capable of embodying realistic characters that are different from our own self, is that we must have the absence of Ego and self-esteem that leads to a strong personal identity. I suspect he was on to something.

  • It is actually quit scary that that seems to be so.

Robin Williams, For example brought joy to the hearts of millions, yet his own was twisted in torment from his own battles with depression. He eventually lost his battle.

Mark Hamill, who is still with us, has gone through bouts of addiction, which like depression is never gone only held at bay. His family and friends when Cary Fished died swarmed to him to try and keep him from following her.
