New game coming Cyberpunk 2077

from the people that made red dead revolver and the Witcher

a whole 40 plus min of game play and all I can say is WOW!
take my money now!
and this comes from an old beta game tester and E3 game show attendee for years!

One of the writers for The Mary Sue hates it because it doesn't celebrate disability in action (anti-)heroes.

It's probably going to be great when it's released.

It looks amazing though! I've been waiting for a good cyberpunk RPG for a long time. The new Deus Ex games didn't get that itch because the main character is fairly off-putting. Shadowrun: Dragonfall just made them feel like a puppet.

Finally one that lets us mold the character as we play.

The new deus ex games were awesome!!! Jensen is far better than the PC's of the first two games!!!

On another note, the cool witng about CP2077 is that it's based on the hit tabletop RPG franchise 'Cyberpunk', which I've played a bit of. While Cybergeneration was shit, and Cyberpunk 3.0 never came out, and Cyberpunk 2013 was questionable, the original game Cyperpunk 2020 was really good.

The thing I like about this new game is that it looks to be a truely open world game. Where you can actually influence the game world beyond scripted encounters and actually mould the world alongside your character. When it comes out, I am so going to get it on PS4.

Considering the type of hardware that they use to run those kinds of demos? You might want to wait for the PS5.

PS4 Pro at the very least.

No. Absolutely not. I MAY be a PS4 loving geek, but I'm putting my foot down at cloud-based graphics processing. Oz is REALLY bad when it comes to connection speeds, and currently we're only just qualifying for PS5 rollout with our connections speeds.

For those who don't know, the PS5 will handle ALL graphic processing on a cloud-based server at Sony. This will mean that if the PS network goes down or is hacked (which FREQUENTLY HAPPENS!!!), you won't just be without the ability to play multiplayer games.

Oh no, it's far worse that that:

If you lose your connection or the PSN goes down, you won't be able to play ANY games, whether they're singleplayer or multiplayer.

As a gamer, I LIKE not having to pay a f**king subscription just to play any game, whether it's singleplayer or not. You can bet your ass that Sony will monetize graphics processing.

I am so put off by this that I'm NEVER buying a piece of crap like the PS5. It's crap, and it hasn't been released yet!!!

does no one at Sony read history before building something or presenting an idea?

a company tried a game console back in the late 90's like this...all the power came form a net only link and the 'box' was a cable box in a way?

The gaming industry is truly sad these days

when PS 1 came out I worked at Sony pictures and got my hands on a returned one for cheap! And then bought about 20 games for it
the PS2, I got one opening month by chance and paid full price for it and bought WAY over 100 games for it!!
I bought the first X-box for one game at the start...Steel Battalion and its 300$$$$$ joystick package and only played that game on it for months...then bought about 20 games over the next decade
PS3 got a deal on and only have 5 games--lol
X box 360 for GTA when it came out and X-box ONE for the same and because some younger family played on the network at times?

see a trend there...as the games went more and more online based..I bought far less!

but I don't buy more than 2 or 3 games a year now because...that DAMN system they have now of DLC they sell only week after the game comes out (this tells me I just bought an unfinished game or they are ripping me off?) or you have to SUB to a network to play be that PSN or X-box live?

Would have bought any and all GTA DLC...IF they made any? you have to sub once again and 'play' to buy stuff with in-game 'cash' or buy the cards...I will not do that! So GTA lost about 200$ off me for any DLC..because I only do single player!

I have the money...but they don't want it???
and yes I do play MMO's online...star wars...champions...city of heros (Cries for its loss!) a few others, but a game console online--nope. I want instant on, with no download 'updates' every-time I turn it on! (glances at X-box...damn thing!)

FWIW, Wikipedia doesn't confirm CrazyMinh's claims (or have any information about the PS5 at all, that I could see), and a quick google didn't turn anything relevant up. Sony does have a cloud gaming service, PlayStation Now, which works as he described and is available on PC and PS4. Maybe he indigested too many of those hash brownies and misunderstood an announcement or speculation about PS5 support for PS Now, PS Now support for PS5 games, or something along those lines.

I heard it from a guy in the uni's Com Sci course. He's notorious amoung the Engineering and IT department for knowing very accurate leaked info about new tech. It could just be that he's wrong- for once.

Don't ask me how he knows. What I don't know can't hurt me, right?

Honest to god, I hope he isn't hacking anything to get this juice. I'd prefer it if none of my friends got busted for computer crimes.

So yeah, it's rumour, but it's from a guy who has been right about everything else up till now. Or possibly not even now.

Also, I know about PS Plus. I'm a PS4 user, remember??? AND I just got a brand spanking new PS4 Pro to replace the one slagged in the fire. Didn't end up going with the 'go fund me' thing, I ended up not having the time to set it up. But, I've got my PS4 back, I've managed to aquire a refurbished iPhone 6S off Ebay, I've started saving for components to rebuild my trashed gaming PC...things are looking swell.

As an avid Cyberpunk 2013/2020 player. I was completely happy to see how they managed to get this so far along. It looks great. It feels great. Almost has that Night City smell! And the best part. Mike Pondsmith is directly involved in the creative process. Only downside....It's not out right now!

What class do you main??? Personally I prefer Netrunner, so when this game comes out I'm going for familiar territory...

Depends on the style of the game. But i do enjoy Solo's and the occasional Techie. Not a huge fan of Corps/Cops. Nomads are kinda fun at times and so can Rockers. Never was a huge fan of Netrunners. But i would have to say Solo would be my preferred class.
