  • Just saw Stan Lee passed

  • Shit, yeah. Damm, that's sad. Well, here's to another person we thought wouldn't be going anytime soon.

    There was Rickman.

    Then there was Bowie.

    Then there was Hawking.

Now Stan Lee has joined the dead. Fuck.

Well, too bad there won't be any more cameos!

  • Oh, I'm sure they'll find a way to put his name on a street sign or his picture on a poster in the background somewhere. Still, it won't be the same, he will be missed. On a forum for an indie superhero shared universe, is there anyone who doesn't feel this loss at all?

  • Stan was 95, it's sad but it's not like it was unexpected. Even the Marvel bigwigs had been hinting for months that he was in poor health. I lost a relative recently who was the same age. Again, sad but hardly unexpected. And my father is not much younger than that; he's healthy so far, but we have been preparing for it for years.

Hawking had been living on borrowed time for... wait... let me see... 53 years. He was diagnosed in 1963, and given two years by the doctors. Again, sad but well...

Rickman and Bowie, though, were just 69, which is fairly young nowadays. 2016 was a bad year. Bowie, Rickman, Muhammad Ali, Prince, Gene Wilder, Anton Yelchin, Carrie Fisher (who took her mother, Debbie Reynolds, with her...)

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • I wonder how many scenes he might have pre-shot?

And there is always CGI. Would not surprise me if he signed off on having his image inserted into future films.

I wonder if he's already voiced cameo voices for a second season of Big Hero Six, if there is going to be a second season.

I recall reading that Hawking actually set the record for survival with ALS by a large margin as far as anybody can tell, but tracking on that was spotty at best.

We have at least four films with Stan on the way for sure, two live action and two animated.

  • Allegedly he shot scenes for Spider-Man, Avengers IV, and Captain Marvel when they shot Infinity War.
