I' ve got a short lists of things to read over Christmas. Not that they'll last till then mind you. I'll probably have them finished before the end of this week.
- Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty
- Burning Chrome & The Peripheral by William Gibson
- Micro by Michael Crighton
- Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie
- One Second After by William R. Forstchen
- Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
- Artemis by Andy Weir
- the Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
- the Hellboy Omnibus Vol 1
- Ultimate X-Men Volume 1
- Batman: The Killing Joke
- Iron Man: Armour Wars.
Yeah. Admittedly, I can read that piddling list in about two or three days, but I might as well stretch it out till Christmas. Since Uni's off till next year, and I'm still in a wheelchair while it pours with rain sporadically, it's fun to do a bit of reading. What's on your reading list, fellow denizens?

I only have a week off, so my list is pretty short.
- The Monster Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson
- Razor Girl by Carl Hiaasen
I may also start either NK Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy or Joe Abercrombie's The First Law series. I've heard both are excellent.

I have the next volume of the Laundry File by Charles Stross waiting for me.
Also from the anthology "Mirrorshades", have a read of the William Gibson short story "The Gernsback Continuum" for an interesting take on the "I Reject Your Reality And Substitute My Own" trope.
Chewy reading for anyone working on a Devisor character.
Nice film interpretation here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh5QHtGmXn4
Happy Solstice.

And, if you have 10 minutes to spare, you can peruse my seasonal offering 'A Week Before Christmas', over on the Library here as the Crystal Hall

It's the oldest story in "Library/Miscellaneous" (it's apparently from 2012). The word "Christmas" is misspelled also, which may make it harder to find.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.
