  • I've been amusing myself recently by creating themed RWBY teams based on odd themes. My first one theme was "Fairy tale heroes in stories named after other characters", which includes Gerda from The Snow Queen , the soldier from The 12 Dancing Princesses , the wolf from Ivan and the Firebird (because let's be honest, the wolf is the real hero of that story, for having to deal with idiot Ivan), and Morgiana from Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves .

The theme I'm working on now is "Queens who had to trick their husbands because their husbands were being idiots". Current members are the Peasant's Clever Daughter , Queen Esther , and Scheherazade , but I need a fourth member, and I was hoping that you guys might have some suggestions.

  • Maybe... but it doesn't have the same feel to me.

  • Catherine the Great and Nefertiti would work well on a themed team together, but not as well with the theme that I'm working with. Esther, Scheherazade, and the farmer's daughter were all queens without power who tricked their husbands in order to get their way once. Catherine and Nefertiti both took power of their own, and actually ruled (I think. I don't actually know much about either one).

That said, my theme is kind of narrow, so I might need to bend it a bit. But I would rather not.

  • Nefertiti worked with her husband to promote his form of religion eliminating many of the old ones and supplanting them with their own.

But I understand where your coming from. Well there goes the Queen of Hearts attempt.

Edit: Isabella I of Castile, Catherine de Medici, Tzu-hsi, Empress of China (perhaps) but I'm sure you may have seen these.

  • OTOH, Hatshepsut did seize power herself.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Its so hard to find women role models this late in the game. Especially thieving, lying, stab them in the back or keep their worthless, pitiful husbands alive only to demean and use them as they shove an unseen hand up them, dictating what they are to say and do as the woman runs the corporation.

Well Hillary comes to mind. Or Nancy with her fortune telling business.

  • Again, I'm not looking for a queen who seized power. None of three already chosen seized power, and I'm not particularly interested in the fourth being a queen who lead a coup or actively ruled.

I'm sure you may have seen these.

Actually, no, since I've been mostly looking at fairy tales and myths, rather than historical figures. I really appreciate your suggestions. (Even if I haven't liked any of them for the team)

Have you read the stories of my three examples for my theme? That's not at all what I am looking for.

    1. I apologize I was joking there.

    Snip I retract the question.

Oh, Internet sarcasm, how I love thee.

I see. Sorry for jumping on you.

While her husband isn't an idiot, much, she did have to deal plenty of idiots. Elizabeth Swann the Pirate Queen? From Pirates of the Caribbean.

    Also what about Lady Macbeth?

Many people hear voices when no-one is there.
Some are called 'mad' and shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day.
Others are called 'writers' and they do pretty much the same thing.

  • I suggest that you look at the site www.rejectedprincesses.com . There are a lot of very colorful and interesting women listed on this site.
