I added a Search page to the Story submenu. This will allow you to restrict searches to exact words/phrases and sort them in an order other than most recent first. Searches can take a long time... and may time out before giving a result. Please try to avoid making the same search attempt multiple times in a row... add additional words or change whether you are searching for some or exact wording before calling the same search. Otherwise you're just burning CPU / database cycles for no result. I'll be looking into some better designed search systems, but anything that will do what we need it to is probably going to cost something. The default joomla search system is known to be pretty basic... and is NOT designed for our sort of site.
I added Sir Lee's Google Map of the WU to the WA Universe submenu. I'm not sure at this time how this will work big picture. But let's play around with it and see what we can do with it. I'm also willing to loop into looking into what it takes to work in the Google Map API, which we have access to given that we're using google's hosting for this.

Map doesn't display in Safari on my iMac, but shows up just fine in Firefox.
If there is a color key to the location flags, it's not showing up on the map. Nonetheless, the map is useful and can hopefully be updated with new info as the new stories are written.

Google Maps doesn't offer a place to put a key explaining what each type of marker means, or at least I didn't find it.
Anyway... the horizontal iPad-looking icon on the top left, on the map titlebar, will show a list of the markers. On the top right, there's an squarish icon to take you to the standard Google Maps page instead of the small, embedded one.
Color is not that complicated:
White is places,
Blue is heroes and other "white hat" agents:
- Dark blue is the ones we have actually SEEN in action
- Purple is ones we have seen mentions of, but not actually seen
- Light blue is "street heroes" and other non-acknowledged ones.
Red is villains
Green is... don't fit well in either heroes or villains
Yellow is anti-heroes
The symbol inside the marker conveys an approximate sense of importance: Star is top, square is medium, circle is low.
And yeah, it needs an update. I have mentioned it in the past -- I'm willing to give write access to a few interested collaborators. I *can't* open it to general editing, because, unlike a wiki, Google Maps has no tools to undo vandalism -- so I have to trust the volunteers.
Lack of wiki-like undo is one of the reasons I wanted to copy it to Wikia Maps, by the way... unfortunately, I found no convenient way to import it to WM, it would have to be done by hand.

Many people hear voices when no-one is there.
Some are called 'mad' and shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day.
Others are called 'writers' and they do pretty much the same thing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This map is so useful for all us trying to place things in WU.

Sir Lee, if you like, we can include other information on that map page. A key. Update submission guidelines. How to sign up to assist with updates. Anything you want /think that would be useful on there.

Hmmm. I'll think a bit. A key would be nice, it was the first thing people complained about... and a "Want to help?" note could work too.

I have to say, I will definitely benefit while reading from that depiction of where Wallachia would be, even with the guesswork involved. Thanks a lot for starting this.

The location of Wallachia is accurate, the sections of Romania are mentioned in the stories.
