  • As we have transitioned out of the '06-'07 year, I am missing a bit of the year-end ritual. I'm not saying let's have a blow-by-blow of Carson's speech to graduates or a logistics rundown of what security has to deal with as many seniors' family visits campus etc but I would love to have this part of the journey fleshed out a bit. We don't know much about the class of '07 and it would be fun to follow around Gloriana or someone else we already know well as the travel thru the end of their days at Whateley. What does prom look like? Perhaps a few tearful goodbyes to teachers? What was the '07 dark legacy?

Has there been discussion around this in the authors late night IRC chats?

    Cheers!

  • You are cordially invited to the graduation ceremonies at Whateley Academy And the commencement of the class of 2007 to take place shortly…

Read all about it in Pomp and Conspiracy.

  • Well, consider...
I logged on. First thing, since it's Monday night, I look at the "Latest Articles" list. "Written in Blood" is still the two top entries.
Then, I start reading posts. I like opening stuff in separate tabs. So, I read the last chapter in E.E.'s medical woes, which take me like one minute. I open the Quad... and see this thread. With E.E.'s response.
I look again at the "Latest Articles" list... and do a double-take: there IS something new there. Did I miss it?
I go back to the main tab (the one that I haven't reloaded since I came into the site, like, three minutes ago)... and it's not there. Which means that the story had just been moved to the "open" section.
I must have been the first or second person to download that story.
Then I went back to the site's entry page, to see if Kristin had posted an update... and no, she hadn't. Which suggested that it was E.E., and not her, who did the final publishing.
I only found "A Good Man" and Kristin's post a while later, when I came back.

Don't call me "Shirley." You will surely make me surly.

  • Both stories and the front page article were published using advance time publishing to release at 17:00 pacific time. And they did. Anything experiences otherwise are likely a matter of local caching...

  • Now I ask you, where are you going to get fan service like this? Total, instant, gratification; 'cause that's how we roll here!

Are they forever or a girls best friend? Or just a way to make money?

Sorry I'll quit now, taking my diamonds with me. Love those almonds.

They are a Vamp's best friend.

As opposed to She-Beast which is a Vamp's best fiend.
