  • To get fanfiction 'officially' published, it says we contact the Fan Fiction Publisher. Does anyone know who that is, or is it just any mod?

I could just contact Kristen, but other people probably have the same question, and if it isn't her, this will save her and everyone time.

  • Well, if it makes you feel better, I did ask Kristen *grins* So far it's her (until she got someone in the spot that wasn't her), though it sounded like it's something they're still getting set up, and there will be some sort of review and editorial process and hoops to get it to that point as well. So it seems as if it's something that will be happening, but may not be ready yet. Since they literally just opened the boards a few days ago, it wouldn't surprise me if there are other things more critical that need to be done first :)

I would expect there to be an announcement of some sort when things are ready if I had to guess.

"Uh-oh." "Don't tell me - we're about to go over a huge waterfall." "Yup." "Sharp rocks at the bottom?" "Most likely." "Bring it on."

  • I figured that and was waiting, or I could have had about 6 fanfics up and completed already asking for publishing. I was mostly curious without wanting to sound demanding.
Thanks for passing on the word.

  • At the moment, the main issue is a software issue... in that while you may have access to create publishable content (tagged as Fan Fic), once you save it... you won't be able to reopen it for editing. I'm not sure 'why' the permissions are working that way right now ... only that they are. Which means... you can start projects, but unless you managed to get it ALL done in one swell foop without any mistakes... you won't be able to continue working on it.

Once we solve that problem, I'll write up a 'process' description and we'll get you on the road.

Fate guard you and grant you a Light to brighten your Way.
