Question What to do with a cat girl?

I've got a CS Lewis line stuck in my head which is making my Muse want to base a character on, but I got no clue how to explain in story.

The line is "He is not a tame lion." referring to Aslan from the Narnia stories. Said line has my Muse picturing either a Lion breed Animan or a mutant with a lion mutation dropping said line right before someone's throat is ripped out. Muse wants it to be a character in my DeVille stories, but can't explain why DeVille would recruit a non-human even if they have all the skills they look for in a recruit and the year was 2016. She could be a very interesting character, IF I could think of a reason for her to be there.

And now sitting here typing Muse is suggesting that Lion-girl may be a Sculpt and is rescued by Icy and becomes the new Third Witch in the Dark Triad...

you could have the cat character working as a mercenary for the group, or joining the operation later in life.

Have it vomit hairballs?

Make sure that it's spayed properly?

Let them loose during a comic convention?
