Question Here's Your Sign

I'm having Imp meet some arriving students at the airport and I want her holding a sign to let them know she's their chaperone ( Yes, bad idea, but she was already in town...). She'd be in her 'boring' illusion, to blend in. The best ideas I've had are an upside down Whateley sign and her logo.

"Excuse me, Miss? Did you know your sign looks like it's been shot at?"
"Yep! The shot went one way and the buck went the other."

The Secretary has disavowed me.

Not to throw a bucket of cold water on it, but Imp keeps her "boring" civilian ID a secret. Most people don't know that she can pass for a baseline thanks to that magic brooch. So, I don't think she would be at the airport in her Candice Kade guise.

Yup. She'd need to use her mundane disguise (basically just cover up, stuff the tail down a pant leg, and hope for the best) unless she gets creative (clown makeup and wig would conceal the scales and horns) or can get somebody to provide a different illusion/hologram disguise. Of course, it doesn't strictly need to be a consensual provision; confiscation of a hooligan's goodies is a time honored tradition of teachers, and Imp does have a lot of experience in the repo industry.

That last one would have to wait a few months too... I mean, the Orange Box only went on sale on October 10, 2007. It took a while for Portal memes to achieve mainstream (non-gamer) status.

I was thinking a non-magical image inducer built by Boozer, as yeah I know she wouldn't burn that identity just for a class field trip to the Gardner Museum.. Not sure if it's an art trip or special class trip... Do know someone is chaperoning Imp.

2017/18 school year is when this is set

A major factor is whether she's meeting students who have already been to Whateley. With kids who know the scare, Imp will shoot the moon. With Noobs, she'll play it simple and safe. Never scare the Noobs; they may not know you, but on the flip side, you don't know THEM

Mix of Noobs, an alum who while she doesn't know Imp, trust the school staff even with the new management, and a parent that has been to the school and met her daughter's gsd heavy roomie.
