Question Stuck for a Look and Power set

Had a rough idea pop into my head Saturday and Muse made me write out a story intro even though I am trying to get my DeVille stuff written. I like the intro but I just have no idea for a power set or a Look for this poor experiment. Muse has Apes on the brain due to Grodd being on Flash the other week and Project X on one of the movie channels, and I don't wanna go Ape. So any suggestions?

The US government, well really all governments, are after the Ultimate Weapon!(C). In the early days it was a better metal to make your weapons out of, or a better way to get something sharp and pointy from point A into point B. Then came fire arms, chemical and biologicals, and finally came nukes. And there is also the paranormals that have been scattered in through history doing what ever they could to tip balances. Thing is paranormals, Origins and the like are unpredictable in their creation. So governments try and create their own. More often then not the projects end very badly.

A few got lucky, a group called Designer Heroes produced a super team several years ago. The program that created me built on their work. The Pentagon called it Project Spinach Can. I think who ever came up with the code name was a Popeye fan or something Part of my DNA comes from one of the Unknown Soldiers the rest comes from... well I'd say God only knew, but I'm not even sure He does. I'd as my “parents” but the team that created me was killed

A neanderthal like person with some parts around the joints where the skin is particularly thin and obviously mechanical underneath.
Regeneration thanks to grey goo nanites that swarm the blood, sealing cuts and holes with their own body.
Super strength thanks to being part machine and mutation.
Energy beams, mutant.
Mithral knives that erupt from his arms and are attached by thin wires that can act as garrotes. Not Wolverine claws, actual knives that are kept under the skin so they aren't lost and will surprise people.

What about looking like a Pak Protector? (tm Larry Niven)

I don't have any appearance or power ideas, but I'm reminded strongly of Firstborn by Brandon Sanderson. Dennison is hard to use as a base for your character, since the WU doesn't have a big call for tactical genius in their supers, but the story might give you some ideas.

Thin and wiry. Normal sized eyes with large orange irises and larger pupils than normal. His body is covered in short neon-green "fur", longer and thicker on the forearms, feet, back, and head. Bushy green eyebrows and mustache. The fur glows brightly under a black light. Skin is pale green and does not burn or tan. Endless supply of shark teeth. Strictly carnivorous, but also requires an average of four hours exposure to sunlight per day to fully synthesize the nutrients he needs. The light absorption happens through his "fur", which starts growing in more thickly if he doesn't get enough light, and thins if he gets too much. The fur also bleeds a sticky green liquid when cut, but only a little bit and it dries quickly, sealing the damage. His blood is thicker and yellower than normal, and it clots very fast. Contact with his blood gives most people a rash. He's strong, durable, very quick. He is able to operate in the anaerobic mode for longer than normal, and recovers more quickly. He's not good at aerobics, and exercise doesn't seem to help. He can actually cover more ground in a day by alternating between sprinting and resting than he can by trying to pace himself.

Most plants upset his digestion if he eats them, but things like spinach tend to also have a stimulant effect, making him more alert, edgy, and aggressive during the hour before the nausea and diarrhea kick in.

I think I'm gonna go with that for some reason he can't use his legs due to something being botched in his creation, but at a later date he either activates a Shell manifestation or some other powers trigger. But they aren't full time. And I'm thinking for the Whateley kicker when the powers are active he's female.

And maybe something alien.
