  • Ok I am officially taking the plunge, I have some FanFic stories in the works and was wondering where do I post 'in-progress' stories? I'd like to get some feedback as I write. (Feedback is writer crack :) ) Kinda toss a few pages at time and see what people think. I read the FAQ and that seems to be for more...refined works.

    Thanks.

Many people hear voices when no-one is there.
Some are called 'mad' and shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day.
Others are called 'writers' and they do pretty much the same thing.

  • The Tunnels - are collectively the fan fiction section of the forums. Within that area, there's a thread for general Writing Tips and reference materials (The Tool Room), there's an open discussion room for fan fic authors, readers, and cheerleaders (pompoms not included).. that's The Workroom. There's a private forum for just fan fic authors to discuss issues with the other fan fic authors and with canon authors... mainly its a place to hash out details without creating spoilers for readers... we'll leave the name of that forum part of its mystery.

Then there are the parts of the Tunnels specifically set up for posting stories and feedback threads. You post your story in the Fabrication Lab. One thread to a story (named to match the story), Use your edit option to keep things organized so each section of your story reads normally (from beginning to end). Only authors can create threads and post in the lab... and please, only post to your own stories. Then, in the Project Discussion section, if you are interested in feedback, go ahead and start a thread with the same title as your story's title. If you don't create a thread, it is assumed that you don't want feedback (and since only authors can start threads there, you have to start it before people can post in it).

If eventually, you feel that your story is ready for full scale site publication; information is available on how to go that route.

Fate guard you and grant you a Light to brighten your Way.
