Hi, Esar Here,
I wouldn't call myself a long time lurker, i have been reading Whateley Universe stories only for a few Months now. I have been introduced to the universe by Morpheus's Fanfictions, and then when i began to read his canon stories it was the push that i needed to seek more stories set in this universe.
I don't know why exactly, but i have approached this behemoth that is the Whateley canon by reading all that had been published about Ayla. as i said, i don't know why because he had only a few scenes in Morpheus stories and yet several weeks after having read Absynth (if i am not mistaken, Absynth 2 is the only Morpheus story in which Ayla appears), he was the one that i really wanted to explore. I haven't regretted this decision.
After having finished the Ayla focused stories, i began to try more or less "one shot" stories, and thus i read "Learning to Hunt", meeting Danny. It was love at first sight. (ok, not with the story only itself, but with the glimpse of Elrodw's plan for danny's future too). I had to know more about him to prepare myself for future Danny stories. So i binged read Kayda stories (and i am glad that i did. it didn't hurt that i had already enjoyed several Elrodw's stories outside of the whateley universe such as "not just a fan" that is still to this day one of my favorite TG story.)
So i still have a lot to read in the G1 canon, and i am fairly hyped for the G1Y2 stories (More imp ! Danny ! Whisper ! A canon Absynth ! Ribbon ! And obviously the continuation of the Established maincast's stories).
On the other hand, i am up to date with the G2 stories. Hurrah ! And i am already quite attached to Tia, congratulation Nagrij, i can't wait (well, i have to) to discover what you have in store for her. I hope i am not diminishing everyone else by pointing out Tia and Nagrij. I think it's more or less related to the fact that she is the only character that has had both a fairly extensive origin story and a fair amount of spotlight (But maybe for the last part it's because i am biased toward Tia and thus i tend to focus more or her than the other while reading ? who knows ?)
I am only a reader, i don't think i have what it takes to write something worthwhile (and the fact that i am not a native english speaker can make my wording awkward.) I often let my imagination roams and then take notes, shaping them into character and events, but to fully flesh those ideas is another matter in itself.
So, to conclude, thanks a lot everyone for delivering those amazing stories everyweek.

Thanks for decloaking and saying hi, Esar. You're very welcome and may write or 'just' read as you are inspired to. It sounds as if you still have lots to read in the G1 timeline, though we are planning to run Year 2 with a bit of its own independence so don't feel that you HAVE to have read everything to understand things. Just as TK didn't rely much on staff or upperclassmen... the new freshman class will have its own trials and tribulations without needing a lot of help from the others, even those who have been protagonists through Y1. Though to be fair, we will have cameos and references to things that current events tie up loose ends from the past... in the event that you don't get those... just ask, we have some reeeeeally smart fans who can cite scene and line for things like that, despite the 9 million words of canon material. It's a bit of a super power really. They're amazing.
And btw... never say you are 'just' a reader. Just as an actor is nothing without an audience, authors are nothing with readers. And there are never enough readers. Hell, the US of A would be in a lot better condition politically/socially/economically right now if we had even 5% more of the population read one book a month.

Hello and welcome, Esar. Pleased to have you, and glad to see you like Tia. The emphasis on a few characters is unplanned and will even out as the other authors chime in with their own works and origin stories; I just happened to be the first there. I would heartily recommend Bek next, if you're still in the binging mood.
