Greetings. My handle is Ib12us but I prefer to go by Ibi. Had the name too long to consider anything new. Yes I'm a lurker. I've been lurking many of the sites for years gone by.
I can be quick to talk then go on a hiatus for long periods of time. Just not much to say about myself as I'm neither a hero or a villain. Just a citizen. I can dream up ideas but fail to act on them as I suffer from ADD and can loose inter....
Ugh what was I writing abut again?
Anys ways I'm currently going through all the stories trying to bring myself up to snuff on both past and present features. Current favorites is E.E. Nalley's as with Elrods and Morpheus. Still not sure which if any of Morpheus's is canon but I still enjoy reading them.
Elrod, I'm afraid had me write in his universe and so far nothing else has happened. I blame him. ';\

Welcome.. and... all of Morpheus' Whateley stuff is canon 'officially' ... the versions of some of them that are available publicly right now may not be accurate as far as continuity goes though. So the characters and events that happen will be canon, he just needs to take the time to pin down where the dates line up with the timeline... and fix anything that won't be possible due to other outside influences related to us other authors changing things he thought were real.
If its been posted on the front page of the crystal hall site or is up in the canon original timeline stories here... its 100% canon (that should be Ribbon, Roulette, and Imp). Others still need conversion sweeps done. Which leaves... Absinthe and Sphere to work on, yet? Sound right?

Fate guard you and grant you a Light to brighten your Way.

Best they be hopping to it then else readers will be looking for Dr. Strangeglove to administer a wet noggie to sprint them into action.
.
Who be Dr. Strangeglove? Best not be questioning ones imagination as it flays its owner with needless speckle in an attempt to further his motivation.
Dang I've been reading to much of Girl Genius.

Not possible. More likely you just need to read MORE Girl Genius.

Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked.
Note: My story comments can't nor are trying to replace reading the stories, simply my way of enjoying them and letting the authors know I enjoy them.

Nonsense, there is no such thing as too much Girl Genius. And nice to see you again, Ibi. And never get into a weirdness contest around here, too many who can equal or exceed you with their ideas. Just look at Domo's stuff.

Thank You for story comments appreciated and help me know me they are being read and liked.

Or to perhaps (worse still) build upon it.
Also thanks Kristen for the clarification. I did find them under the 'Canon' here and as my mind had become befuddled by some nonsense girls looking for such essence it through my poor self into a quandary of such impartial matters.
I don't remember when I started Girl Genius only that I remember when they finally combined both the b&w version with the color one it had been years in the making.
Got to slow down now else I may be band for taking so much of the forums time.
Ibi
P.S. Where are the others? Come now. Move away from the closet and introduce yourselves.

Kinda wondering how I can contribute to the site. I know I'm flooding it with whimsical nonsense.

Properly thought out harsh but fair criticisms, with detailed thoughts written in a conversational tone discussing the story, and not the author
etc.
Feedback that is useful and non-confrontational and helps make a better story is hard, but really, really appreciated.

Properly thought out harsh but fair criticisms, with detailed thoughts written in a conversational tone discussing the story, and not the author
- plot holes
- "flabby text" that seems to be too long to tell the information it contains
- "boring bits" that don't seem to be moving the plot along
- confusing sections
- parts of the text that are at different "levels" (ether too high or to low) that pull the reader "out of the zone"
- formatting issues, such as blocks of text that are hard to read (wall of text), inconsistent use of formatting making authors intent unclear (is the italics a yell? internal monologue? broken keyboard?)
- Problems with pacing (too boring in sections, too many things one after the other, not enough slow sections for the reader to page and reflect, highs and lows are to close, issues resolved too fast, reader can't get sufficient feeling of danger / emotional attachment / etc. climax unfulfilling / too emotional and not earnt, etc.
etc.
Feedback that is useful and non-confrontational and helps make a better story is hard, but really, really appreciated.
