  • Good to see the new forums are working properly. Thanks to all who have put the work in.

And, thanks to all of you who've been writing and collaborating on WU.

It's always good to see the final results of a good jam session.

I found WU via Worm, https://parahumans.wordpress.com/

    I've been creating/using RPG'sand simulation systems since i was 12.

My great-grand-mother had a touch of "the sight" that i've inherited. It's been useful, and has saved my life on more than one occasion. I've spent the last 40 years trying to work out what it is, how it works, and trying to find ways of refining/controlling/using it usefully.

The rpg's give a useful set of handles to play with it, though each specific simulation of a universe has it's limitations, which are defined by the axioms that each literary universe has at it's core. Being able to slip from one literary universe to another is an incredibly useful skill to learn.

Sub-interests include, Wicca, Chaos Magick, Qaballa, Rune-Lore, Asatru, music, martials arts, fire-juggling, leather-working, dark age re-enactments, machine-tools, robotics, metal-casting, black-smithing, mathematics, and some of the really chewy Quantum Physics.

I'm also extremely good at making functional tools out of rubbish, most entertaining example can be found here, https://wiki.london.hackspace.org.uk/view/Project:GingeryFurnace

If anyone is in London, you can usually find me making physical things at the London Hackspace.

As far as Whateley goes, my favourite characters have to be Jade, the Bad Seeds, Jadis, and Dr. Diabolik.

  • Good to know that Whateley has members from all parts of the world. Welcome. Pull up a chair but keep your feet off the table. It used to be somebody. ;) Some poor shiftchanger who forgot how to shift back.

Step right up and feel free to explore and comment.

  • I'll also be playing the same meta-game i do on all the forums i've been on. Whoever is able to identify all of the quotes, books, films, and genres that i've/am/will be referring, i'll happily share a bottle of mead over a long and rambling conversation, as we'll have a lot to discuss...
