So much crazy

This week's production of Mamma Mia! is sold out. All eight shows, all 2300 or so seats per show. I, fortunately, am not working the show itself except for one evening next weekend... or at least, that's what my schedule says. My schedule is basically all the other hours. The hours when there is no show but the possibility that someone may need access to deliver stuff, tweak stuff, rehearse, and so on. So, remove the midnight to 8 am block when the security company watches over us... and subtract the shows... and you have a rough shape of my schedule for the week. On paper.
In reality? Well, my boss just called and told me to clock out early this afternoon and come back around 6:30 or so... because the final dress rehearsal (which some people are invited to observe) has gotten blown out of all proportion as a result of the show being sold out and they expect most of the seats to be full tonight as well... except there is no normal operations crew on the schedule for the Monday nights. So... I'm now supposed to show up and make sure people get in and get in seats and that the rehearsal is not delayed in any ways due to audience stuff. That's going to be... amusing to say the least. On a regular performance, our House Manager has 30 ushers, the Ops Manager has his assistant, two leads, seven or eight cashiers, twelve or fifteen concessions workers, and ten or fifteen front of house workers, five security, and a partridge in a pear tree.... on the Monday nights its the House Manager, a hand full of ushers and a security guy. Adding me... I'm not sure how much that balances back out the scales. I'm good... but I'm not THAT good. :P
What IS that good, though... is more Imp. That's what Morpheus has for release this week: Part 4 of "Imp-ervious to Reason" the Seventh story in the Imp Arc. Enjoy! Comment!
