Go Team!

I know the Super Bowl is a big deal for many people... but I realized just how out of touch I am with the world of professional sports the other day when someone reminded me that the show is still mostly sold out on Super Bowl afternoon. So much of my connection with American society seems at at least one remove. I tend to run shows on the weekends and evenings... which prevents me from seeing any prime time shows and news reporting. What I do see is typically online as I try to keep tabs on national/international events and what politics I can stomach (I am neutral good, make if that what you will) or binge watched a year after the fact (or more).

And more importantly... I've realized I'm ok with that. I'm not quite ready to find a small lake and live out my later years doing nothing but writing and living a simple life outside of society... but I'm a lot closer to it than I realized. If someone is setting up a small closed community and looking for well read, broad skill set individuals to fill some holes, let me know where to send my resume.
