what would your costume look like? I would want to be a mage, soo... given my hair and appearance I'd probably go with something like this:
Only caveats, I'm not Irish, and I don't have pointy ears... everything else is pretty accurate..
what would you wear...? What would your powers be? not your OCs or your characters ... you, yourself. Tell us about you as a Whateley student. * giggles at the thought of being a 36 year old mother of two and a freshman. *

I like magic too. And the fey. Hmmm, I don't look anything like Jaz from my story, but that or I'd end up looking like Stone bear or Mr Lodgeman....

My main power would be gadgeteering, and hopefully I'd have a little regen or danger sense to round it out and keep me alive.
Costume would probably start off as a motley assortment of armor and pads taken from military surplus, hockey, skate, and motorcycle stores. At minimum there would be shin, knee, and elbow pads, a combat helmet, prescription ski goggles, padding on the tail bone and maybe spine and hips, a ballistic vest (probably not with any plate inserts to start with), and some kind of armored gloves designed with high speed and falls in mind (probably motorcycle gloves). So, that leaves the feet, which brings us to the reason for all that gear: hover skates. (What, you thought it was to protect me from attackers? Attackers come and go, but the ground is omnipresent!) Eventually I'd probably incorporate a cooling system for the torso portion as well as a PFG. Maybe some kind of shock surfaces as well, to be discharged when some idiot tries to grab me. There would also be a flashlight integrated into the helmet with a toggle for red/white light, and a switch to toggle between dim and bright.
Style-wise, the shape would all be 100% utilitarian. The colors, on the other hand... since we're talking about teen me, I'd probably find some artsy types and get them to help me put way too many flames on it all, and probably some skulls too. Burning skulls that are breathing fire. Or maybe skulls made of fire that are breathing normal skulls which in turn breathe fire.
It is likely that at some point I'd play around with attaching small rockets to my hover skates or my back to go faster. In fact, this would be an excellent way of quickly traveling to Doyle...

Knowing my luck, I'd end up like phlegm or dusty, since I like to keep myself pretty clean.
But if I got some say on it, an internal energizer that can charge myself up for short periods of time. That way I'd have an ace up my sleeve and wouldn't have to worry about it 24/7. It's better to be underestimated than overestimated.
As for a costume, something simple, easy to move in and relatively durable. So a good stretchy pair of blue jeans, leather jacket, fingerless gloves, and steel toed hiking boots. Except for the gloves I'd fit into my hometown and most parts of Canada. Get a motorcycle and even the gloves would fit. If I had extra time to prepare, a motorcycle helmet that covers my whole face but doesn't block my peripheral vision too badly.
I like simple.

I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

With my luck I'd either have some form of Drick that has me compulsively stripping down or a power I have to go mostly naked to use as it is a clothing destroyer as I am not an exhibitionist.
Power wise, I think I'd be some form of shell manifestor or PK field generator (Megs or She-Beast respectively), so any costume I'd have would likely be a basic skin tight suit to my disgust so as not to interfere with the manifestation.

My dreams take me to far off lands and times of distant past and future. They tell what has been done, what will happen and who I am. They show me things beyond the machinations of any man. Tell me, what are dreams to you?

Given my tendancies towards sensory overload problems, I'd say super sense of some sort but with no control. Probably a high level mental exemplar but low level physical one. Or a telepathic/empathic ability that I can't turn off, like Sara in the early stories.
If not that a programming based devisor or gadgeteer, but not a cyberpath. I build the things I don't use 'em.
My parents would probably say an odds mangler (pun intended). To quote '[that child] was born with horse shoes.' Maybe coming with some weird GSD to go with that particular saying. Though they've also said '[they've] got goat legs,' so maybe it would be stranger than expected.
So some combination of the above traits, which ones would influence my costume, but I'd be staying far away from the hero track. I didn't want to be a super hero as a kid, and I don't want to now.

Luck? After what you've done to your characters, I'd call it karma.

Speaking of luck I think I already have a mild form of Jinx' power. Certainly nothing ever seems to go well for me.

As for me, it would be my unwritten self-insert, as I've come to the conclusion I am rather horrible at detaching my own thoughts enough to do otherwise.
So that would be one frosty Sidhe with the usual Wiz-equivalent, topped off with some cryokinesis and ice manifestation, along with a glamour that eventually freezes the local ambient temperature to below freezing. Extreme tolerance to cold as a required secondary power .
Not all fun and games though, as my plan was to first thing throw a raging Eldritch at them - based on the Sidhe they represent being extrapolated as the one to bind the Artificer sometime pre-Sundering. Reasonable way to trigger a rage, no?

Mmnnn. If I had a choice, I'd go for shape shifting. To change between forms at will. But most likely? I'd end up with Astral projection. The amount of daydreaming I'm already doing is kinda up there.

Well, I wouldn't try to go into the hero/vilain business so my costume would be minimalist and practical I would assume. Maybe just a domino mask and a hoodie to conceal my face.
Given my luck I would have hosted a french folklore based spirit who would be quite an asshole (that would justify me talking to myself so often, well it's not really talking to myself but from an outsider 's perspective it's more or less the same thing). Quite possibly a Korrigan spirit, that I wouldn't have even been able to host properly, and I would have ended up stuck as a midget height-wise.
On the plus side it would have given the equivalent of a low level wizz power but contract based, with an even smaller ESP rating to detect guilt.

Assuming that costume choices would be dictated to a certain degree by powersets, I should probably figure those out first.
So... me at Whateley. If we're going just by cranking up personal traits to levels measurable enough to stick on a MID, and no significant body changes, I'd most likely end up with a milder/slower version of Loophole's systems analysis ability and a moderate splash of gadgeteering.
I can't see myself being terribly interested in a costume per se, but if I had to whip something together for combat finals or the sims, it'd most likely be a standard exo-suit arrangement. If there was anything weird about it, it'd be the spliced-on assortment of gadgets I'd replicated from other gadgeteers - at lower individual power levels, but spliced together to create bizarre combination effects.
