    • There is that old not quite a joke of 'when you see the bomb disposal expert run away don't stay to ask questions but follow him as quickly as possible'
    (and the less famous 'if you see your CO running take a moment to assess the situation. There may be a case of danger and leading from behind going on that you need to run away from too, or you may accidentaly end up crashing the fully catered party for the command staff. Failing to notice the difference is likely to be bad (TM) for you')

    Whately, being a unique place, of course has its own subtle and not so subtle signs of an impending apocalypse that the smart student runs away from (and that the not so smart student runs towards, regardless of their jock track of heroism or villainy)
