Question Cypher Discussion

Hey everyone!!! This is Crazy Minh, with another WhatIf character for the grinder!!! Well, I hope not. Anyway, as some of you may have noticed, I have published a story in the Feedback section called Encypher Part 1. When I say it's a preview, I mean part one hasn't been completed yet. I'm still writing it, and I'm only about 1/6th of the way through the first part. I'm only 2/12ths of the way through the whole Encypher story. This is going to be my longest story on this site to date. Currently it's planned to be 22800 words long when fully put together. So yeah, longest two-parter I've written. Encypher follows the tale of Meyer Brigs (A teen from Silicon Valley) who undergoes a traumatic mutation when he inadvertently (or foolishly if you scrutinise his future actions carefully) triggers a magic tome he found in Tibet (and has been translating for three years before the main events in part 2) and ends up becoming a person who (while able to be perceived) has one of those faces which doesn't really stand out in a crowd. people can recognise him/her, but can't identify them when they are in the middle of a crowd. Other than that, he (now she) is a devisor with mage abilities. They're situated during Gen 2, something I've only just begun to read, but have a pretty good understanding of.

Now, this isn't part of the discussion, but I'd like to clarify a few things. Polk Kitsune recently posted a message about the Jayden stories in which they said that I don't get things 'bout the whateley universe. That is partially true. While I am a good reader, with the ability to devour a book the size of the bible in under 2 hours, I'm not particularly good when it comes to picking things to read. I don't mean I have bad taste, rather that when given a large choice of things, I tend to miss stuff that otherwise may be important. Case in point, I haven't read a lot of the non-kimba stories on the OC page, and while I'm working my way through the others, I've kinda avoided ones that I can't tell the POV of. For example, I have no idea which stories are important, and which are just 'side' stories. Anyway, I do try to fit with the theme, and this is a attempt to fully fit with the theme. Thoughts on the 1st 6th are appreciated.

P.S. Polk, please hurry with those comments on Jayden. I'm writing No. 7, and I need FEEDBACK!!! Even if it's scathing, that's what you do isn't it??? You give True commentary, not pandered-up, unhelful nonsense. At least I hope.

Hmm... If you want more feedback, you should place it in the Forums, instead of as a hidden WhatIF?

Although, perhaps you, personally, may not want to be so bold... Else I'd say to put it on Fanfiction.net or something.

I'll make a response some time today, on Jayden 1. 'Cause I did a review of that initially, and should really have checked what changed.

I should get around to Cypher, if I get the time. Got things to do today that I need to get done. Dunno when they'll finish, and let me work on this kind of stuff.

Well, I haven't read it yet, but I am guessing the OC will be less derided by the fans than Doug Ramsey.

And yeah, the character's given name is a bit pointed. Though I've heard worse (mostly in Spider Robinson stories).
