  • Discussion thread for a Whateley spin on the Little mermaid story.

I am a caffeine heathen; I prefer the waters of the mountain over the juice of the bean. Keep the Dews coming and no one will be hurt.

  • I want to be like him from here down.

Well, there's the "Bent". Genderbent, that is, presumably. Shoulda worded your wish a bit better, girl.

The witch gave her an 'are you dense?' look.

    Lol!

Story is Pre-Sundering, so Foobs ancestors haven't been born yet.

I'm getting a serious Venus/Aphrodite vibe from being born of foam and the bubbles. Was that intentional? Or am I reading too far into it?

It's actually from the non Disney version of the story, though I did spin it to include a rebirth aspect where tte HCA version just had "No soul, your are dead."

-shrug- Who knows. Depending on what I do to her, she may show up in my Changeling or Reflections, or what ever I call the stories when they get to Whateley.

@ Malady; Honestly don't take the 'Bend' in the title to seriously. i was trying for a play on the "Fractured Fairy tales" from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle show.

Ah. Personally, I'd use Twisted instead of Bent then? For the alliteration? ... But then, that makes me think of Morpheus's Twisted-verse...

A Five Fold Fairy Tale... Or something like that?

A Mixed-up Mermaid in the Five Fold Court... *shrugs*

A Fractured Fairy Tale in the Five Fold Court... Ooh... Alliteration...
