So, what was the motivation for Dewdrop?
Since I read A's Team, I thought it was inspired by Inspira, who had the same issue...

Dewdrop's motivation?
Girl has issues with affection, probably stemming from an unresolved Electra complex, plus being raised by the Amish or similar highly-strict orthodox sect.
In other words, she needs to get laid

My dreams take me to far off lands and times of distant past and future. They tell what has been done, what will happen and who I am. They show me things beyond the machinations of any man. Tell me, what are dreams to you?

"Highly-strict" describes a lot more than just the Amish. Have you seen some of the anti-sex adds put out by the conservatives? They are almost as strange as the ante-Gay ones.

... I meant, what was your inspiration for this story, and Dewdrop in particular... But, if you're gonna write more about Dewdrop, I guess I'd like her motivation to be a surprise...

Do you really want me to tell you, or are you guys just speculating? It doesn't come up in this story because it's like 4k words, but it certainly would come up if there ever is any more about Dewdrop.
I will say this, there's some clue into her problems in her real name(Misty Parks so you don't have to look it up). It's not just a serendipitous water-related name.

OMG! That is so cool! I wanna say that we need more of those, but the Cabal already has enough on their plate!

Light wrote: On another note, this story also served the purpose of adding a 'high school villain'. What do I mean by that? I mean the kind of actual 'villains' teenaged mutants would deal with, because there's no way very powerful adults would let them fight anything ever(if we looked at the universe from the standpoint of how our own real world reality works at least).

Ok. Just Googled Misty Parks ... And the first site is for a porn actress... Any relation between the two Misties, I wonder...
Perhaps Dewdrop's really embarrassed about sharing her name with the other Misty Parks... Or something... And that's her motivation, in addition to finding 'lewdness' an irritation psychic sensation that makes it hard to sleep?
Or is the last bit just something I'm presuming?
Initially I thought I'd be something to do with Rosa Parks, but quickly abandoned that idea after Googling...
Also, does having Dewdrop say that she didn't really choose her codename, a hint of another kind?
I was guessing that she has Hippie parents that gave her that codename, 'cause 'Misty Parks' sounds like a possible Hippie name to me?
