  • This one is still a work in progress, it's my third rewrite of a character idea I really loved, and I changed things up a lot since the first 2. Please, let me know what you think, where I could have done better, and thank you for reading!

  • The story has possibilities, and manifesting is a cool power to play with (particularly with any kind of permanence).

  • I think it would work better without the mystiously appearing tights. Everything else is sufficently subtle that Eddie could reasonably not notice that he is mutating. But the tights are kind of imposible to explain away as coincidence.

  • Rationally, I agree. But I also know from experience how easy it is to just not think about things that don't make any sense, if they aren't directly threatening, and Eddie has SO much else on her mind. Rationality goes out the window so easily for humans.

  • Second chunk posted, I'm slowing a bit but I refuse to stop. Just gotta stop worrying about getting everything *right* and start getting it done. Fixing stuff can come later.

  • Moving along nicely, so cloth manipulation rather than manifestation, but still a cool power. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it might be amusing to have a going to Whateley story that doesn't involve the protagonist being chased out of town by a mob with pitchforks.

Or shotguns... Or bricks through windows, or "friends " who turned out to be monsters, or corrupt local law enforcement, or demons that have a thing against the new mutant's spirit, or ninjas, bad parents, assault rifles, random super villain encounters.... Hmm those first 4 after the shotgun seem to be related somehow oh right they all happened to Kayda...

Any Bad Ideas I have and microscene OC character stories are freely adoptable.

I thought that was gonna be Chou, but Kayda does fit more.
