    • I wouldn't think so. It may be Gadgeteer tech, but the science behind psi powers should be somewhat known. Bunny's jammers might be a gadget, but Frank's helmet shouldn't be. I would guess that a Devise would be much smaller.

    • Consider this - if they're NOT devises, then why would the Goodkinds be worried enough to train themselves to be less vulnerable, or Tansy have been able to suck secrets out of people? They'd just buy psi blockers. In Knockoff, the mother (villain) Setup notes that when someone comes up with a good psi blocking gadget, her trade is done.

    So no, Psi blockers and other types of tech articles are devises.

    • As El points out, based on what we see if the universe to date, psionic abilities can't be commercially available at this time without there being problems with in universe logic and so on.

    However, there ARE psionically active gadgets in universe already. But its incredibly rare, those bits of personal gear... after all, our known science isn't anywhere close to working with psionic abilities or energies... we don't even currently have reliable ways to detect/monitor those energies/forces, let alone manipulate or generate them. So its challenging to have innovation events leap into that area of science at all.
