So what happens to a mimic who say copies Marty's shell thinking she's 'just' your average PK brick? Doe they end up looking like Marty, or does their shell change to suit their opposite side? Or what about Iron Star's armor shell?

My understanding is that Marty's PK shell is specifically attuned to her, probably through her BIT, to ensure proper nerves connections and fine control. This is why she has MATD, because her shell is tied close enough to the pattern of her BIT that it can influence it and gradually reshape it. For a power mimic to copy her shell, they would copy the intent of her power and create their own super shell attuned to them and not attuned to Marty, which would probably look different from hers since the power mimic has a different BIT. Although, I don't think the shell would automatically be the opposite gender, but rather the true gender of the mutant under the shell. Marty is a trangender girl, and so she manifests a super-girl. I believe a boy using her powers who doesn't have any gender issue would manifest a super-boy shell.

More generally, I'd expect the effect of copying Marty to be similar to the effect of copying an Exemplar.
That said, I could also see the copier getting a PK shield without any visual effects. We've seen that Jadis' PK field has a specific form, but only because a foreign entity is imposing that form on it. If Marty's shield works on similar principles the it would be her BIT and/or personal desires forming the shaping component, and a copier would only get the generic PK power.
Hm... I wonder if Jadis could also suffer from MATD due to her field? Even if she can, I doubt it's an issue because she uses her field significantly less often than Marty does, and Marty's change is already pretty slow.

There will be some answers for this in upcoming Gen 2 storylines (as a result Shieldwall's ability to 'push' PK shells onto people who are not normally mutants with PK abilities).

Certainly I don't recall hearing it before. We knew that he'd used his powers to protect someone, but I'd assumed that he had a large bubble shield like Wallflower or Sphere, or that he'd jumped in front of the person. Now I'm looking forward to Shieldwall even more!Malady wrote:

Anyone scared of what Counterpoint might do if he copied Kiju's shell?
